Job Summary:
The High School Counselor (11-12) provides support in the high school through the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the school’s mission and vision to promote academic, social/emotional, and college/career development.

General Responsibilities:
Works with the HS Counseling Department in developing and leading in college/career, academic, & social-emotional counseling.

Qualifications:
An ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues is an essential quality needed to be successful at YISS. Current state or provincial issued teacher certification, Minimum of 2 years teaching/admin/business experience, Minimum of an undergraduate degree, 2 years of classroom teaching experience preferred; 2 years of school counseling experience preferred; Master’s degree preferred
