Job Summary/Objective
Provide the best possible learning environment for students with special needs through collaboration with parents and teachers, ongoing assessments, and individualized learning plans.
General Responsibilities
Assist teachers in identifying students in need of additional learning support
Work alongside the School Neuropsychologist to assess students and determine whether special education services are required
Write Individual Education Plans and Student Support Plans for students as needed
Lead IEP meetings with parents, teachers, and other support personnel
Provide intensive instruction for identified students via small groups, push-in settings, and/or pull-out settings
Collaborate with teachers to provide accommodations, modifications, and learning support for students in the inclusion or self-contained classroom setting

Qualifications
Current state or provincial issued teacher certification
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
