Job Summary/Objective:

The ideal highly qualified candidate will hold a current and relevant master's degree in school administration or similar with a current and relevant provisional/state certification. The ideal candidate will have experience in elementary education and administration. In collaboration with the elementary school principal, they will create and maintain a positive learning environment, supporting every student, and professional in every aspect. They will influence student learning and staff development through mastery of the subject material by utilizing valid teaching techniques to achieve school wide curriculum goals within the framework of the school’s philosophy. They will assist the principal in a range of school operations including, but not limited to the following: school events; scheduling; academic reporting; staff training and professional development including instructional coaching; parent meetings; student discipline; etc.

 

Reports to:

ES Principal

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist the school administration in accomplishing the academic goals of the school
  • Assist in supervision of teaching faculty and staff
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the community

 

Extra-curricular Responsibilities:

  • If interested, sports coaching opportunities are available

 

 

Qualifications:

- Current state or provincial issued teacher certification

- Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience in an international or cross-cultural setting

- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration
