Job Summary

The Spiritual Life Director will fulfill the mission of NorthStar Academy by providing leadership and oversight of the spiritual life of the student body at our school.


  • Live a life reflective of Christian principles and practices in and out of the work environment
  • Safeguard the interests of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) and NorthStar Academy and its mission and vision
  • Develop opportunities for discipleship to include but not limited to small group studies
  • Ensure that all students have opportunity and access to extracurricular groups for spiritual mentorship and personal growth
  • Develop a framework for helping students analyze and discuss current events from a Biblical worldview with ability to understand and articulate a variety of societal, cultural, religious, and political viewpoints on sensitive subjects
  • Work with the director to coordinate and oversee faculty and staff devotions
  • Be a resource for the faculty and staff in biblical worldview integration
  • Moderation and oversight of specific Teams in Microsoft Teams (central communication area)
  • Facilitate Chapel
  • Work and serve alongside school leadership to support the mission and vision of NSA, collaborating on special projects and initiatives
  • Leadership and coordination of Spiritual Emphasis Week(s) (SEW) and other similar school-wide events
  • Coordinate service/mission/outreach opportunities

All other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Experience working with students
  • Experience with online learning is preferred
  • Experience with mission organizations and third culture kids is preferred
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Passion to see student lives changed by the Gospel
