Purpose/Job Summary
This position will assist the IT department in the maintenance and support of its different systems. These systems include, but are not limited to: Student Information System
(SIS), Genius, Learning Management System (LMS), Agilix Buzz, Communication System, Microsoft Office 365, and NorthStar Academy's Website. Unlike support specialists, this role is more projects based rather than support focused.

General Responsibilities

  • Live a life reflective of Christian principles and practices in and out of the work environment
  • Safeguard the interests of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) and NorthStar Academy and its mission and vision
  • Be responsible to uphold the values and conduct at the school level that are distinctive of NICS schools as presented in the NICS Missions Manual, and NorthStar Academy policies and procedures manual
  • Comply with all Network of International Christian Schools policies and NorthStar policies and procedures


Technical Systems Support Duties

  • Field incoming help-requests related to projects from end users in a courteous manner with great attention to excellent customer service
  • Assist the IT Support Technician in a supplementary/backup role
  • Continuously pursue knowledge of IT best practices through research, training resources, and regular implementation
  • Assist in the maintenance of the NSA website
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Office 365 and Azure platform 
  • Maintain and develop powershell scripts and reports as needed
  • Assist in the development of database queries as needed 
  • Research and assist the IT team with implementation of new technologies and enhancement of existing technologies to improve NSA end user experience


Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Works efficiently in an independent, team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Continued education in engineering or technology related field (Preferred)
  • 2 years of work experience in related fields (Preferred)
  • Experience with operating systems including, but not limited to: Windows, iOS, and Google
  • Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, JS, Powershell, and web design 
  • Experience working with Office 365 and Azure
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components
