NorthStar is completely online with students all over the world. It has rolling enrollment, which means students can begin a class on any Monday throughout the year.

NSA is celebrating its 20th year. It is dual accredited by AdvancEd as well as ACSI. While NSA is a Christian school, many unbelievers attend which gives an opportunity to reach our NICS purpose of reaching the world for Christ through Christian education. NorthStar operates under the belief that being strong academically and discipling students can be done simultaneously; one should not be sacrificed to attain the other.

Job Summary/Objective:

This position for 18-19 is as an overflow teacher for high school classes, Drawing 1 & 2 and Painting 1 & 2. The position would possibly change for 19-20, with the applicant becoming the main teacher in at least one of these classes. This is a part-time position, probably 4-5 hours per week with the possibility of growing to 10-12 hours per week in 19-20. It would be preferred but not necessary that this applicant would have knowledge of digital animation and graphic design for developing further classes.

General Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include grading with meaningful feedback, answering emails, meeting with students in Skype, and being willing to pray with and disciple students.

Qualifications:

The candidate must possess:

The teacher will have a college degree and be certified in art.

The teacher will be actively living for God and enjoy discipling and being relational with students.

The teacher must provide his or her own computer and internet access and be comfortable learning new technology.

The preferred candidate will possess:
