TITLE: MS/HS Social Studies
REPORTS TO: MS/HS Principal
JOB GOAL: The successful Social Studies teacher at ICS must have a strong understanding of standards based assessment as well as concept based teaching and learning. Experience closing the achievement gap in a variety of contexts would be considered an asset as well; They must also develop engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally. The teacher should be confident in incorporating technology and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom with enthusiasm and also believe in collaboration with other colleagues and promotes understanding and communication in a diverse learning and cultural environment. While we are a US curriculum school, the teacher should be able to deliver the curriculum through a wider lens of perspectives and cultures. All ICS teachers are faithful followers of Jesus who lovingly models Christian values and has a heart for sharing Christ with students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Teaching credential from a state/province or from ACSI
- Experience working with students
- Knowledge of specific subject(s)
