JOB DESCRIPTION –  Fine Arts and Physical Education Teacher

School Background:

Located in Nagakute, adjacent to Nagoya, Japan's third largest city, the International Christian School of Nagoya (ICAN) began as a satellite school of the Christian Academy of Japan in Tokyo (CAJ).  Later in 1999, ICAN became part of the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS).

ICAN exists to provide an English curriculum based on a Christian philosophy to international and Japanese students. ICAN offers a Pre- Kindergarten thru Grade Twelve American-style, college-preparatory curriculum, geared toward its international audience.  

All classes are taught in English and the school also provides English as a Second Language (ESL) services.  In addition, our students have access to online courses through NorthStar Academy, an accredited online school. 

Job Summary/Objective:

Create a positive learning environment reflective of the love of Christ, supportive of every student, and professional in every aspect.  Thus effecting student learning through mastery of the subject material by utilizing valid teaching techniques to achieve elementary education curriculum goals within the framework of the school’s philosophy.
