LOCATION

Yongsan International School of Seoul (YISS) is located in the heart of Seoul’s foreign community. YISS is conveniently located by a subway stop (Hangan-jin) and bus stop. Yongsan-gu, and more specifically Hannam-dong and Itaewon, are international hot spots. A short walk up the hill from YISS leads to the popular Grand Hyatt Hotel and the base of Namsan Tower.

THE COMMUNITY

YISS is a warm, inclusive community of students, parents and Christian educators. Families and students from all religions and worldviews are welcomed from more than 50 countries, providing a rich multicultural experience.

THE SCHOOL

Academically, the school utilizes an American based curriculum. Standards are from the US and in high school students can earn AP (Advanced Placement) credit. Teachers wishing to work at YISS should view their classroom and the school as their ministry. YISS staff are committed to seeing the vision of the school fulfilled: instilling in each student a passion for truth, a commitment to excellence, and an appreciation for diversity.

YISS is dually accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
