Audio Visual Specialist
Objective:? Develops, operates, and maintains the audio-visual systems associated with the fine arts, athletics departments, and general use venues.
Responsible To:? Director of Technology
? Assist departments and groups with audio/visual requirements for performances across all school venues. ? Monitor and maintain audio/visual systems related to performances and assemblies. ? Ensure equipment and resources are properly allocated and maintained. ? Train faculty, staff, and students in the proper use and care of all performance related audio/visual resources. ? Oversee the planning, setup, and tear down of performance environments. ? Manage operation of audio engineering (analog & digital consoles), video recording & internet streaming services. ? Collaborate with event planners to build visual presentations or provide technical support to ensure their presentations are executed properly. ? Maintain equipment inventory and organization, solicit maintenance and repair. ? Plan and implement audio-video systems installations and upgrades. ? Coordinate production of video projects for social media and community events.
Minimum Qualifications: ? Knowledge of analog and digital sound reinforcement techniques. ? Experience producing internet audio/visual content. ? Minimum of two years of successful experience in audio-visual & technical support. ? Ability to effectively communicate within and across internal organizational and with external stakeholders. ? Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. ? Committed to continuous personal and organizational development.
Preferred Qualifications: ? Musical background and understands the fundamentals of live sound engineering for musical applications (ensembles, choir, theatre, etc.) ? Knowledge of theatre lighting systems. ? Highly organized and familiar with media presentation software (i.e. Proclaim Online, ProPresenter, G Suite Education, etc.) ? Fluency in Korean and English languages. ? Bachelor degree in media, audio engineering, design, computer science, or related field.
Other Requirements: ? Available to work evenings and weekends as required. ? May be called on to perform other responsibilities as appropriate and as assigned based on ongoing organizational needs and strategic direction. ?
